2. Week 6: at Philadelphia Eagles (Sunday, Oct. 16)

A sneaky tough game for the Cowboys, yes, another one in primetime of course, will be the Week 6 affair at the hated arch rival Philadelphia Eagles. It might be early enough in the season for the loser to overcome the defeat, but these feel like the two teams who will be duking it out for NFC East supremacy, although the Giants and the Commanders would dream to beg and differ.

Besides the nightly forecast calling for clear skies with a chance of scattered Energizer and Duracell showers, what makes this game difficult for the Cowboys is it comes off a tough Week 5 road game at the Los Angeles Rams. Jerry Jones and his buddy Stan Kroenke will have a good, ole time at SoFi, but the Cowboys could be a most mediocre 2-3 heading into this Philadelphia game.

If the Cowboys were to fall to 2-4, Mike McCarthy’s seat will be getting mighty toasty. The amount of leaks coming out of The Star in Frisco will be unlike anything we have ever witnessed. The power struggle between Dan Quinn and Kellen Moore for who will be the Cowboys’ interim head coach will be all the rage on sports talk radio nationally. Dallas better find a way to beat the Birds.

If Dallas falls to the Eagles, we could be heading towards a long November, December and January.
