1. Week 16: at Miami Dolphins (Sunday, Dec. 25)

If there is one game on the Packers’ schedule that really does not do them any favors, it has to be the Christmas Day matinee at the Miami Dolphins in Week 16. This game will come on a bit of a short week, as the Packers will host the Los Angeles Rams the weekend prior on Monday Night Football. Factor in this one being in South Beach during the holiday season, and this could get ugly.

Teams that play in colder climates tend to have trouble playing in Florida during the early parts and latter stages of the season. Humidity is an issue in the September games, as is having proper hydration playing at much higher temperatures when compared to what the weather is like this time of year in Wisconsin. With Miami expected to be better, this is a losable game for the Packers.

Though Green Bay may already have a playoff spot locked up by then, Miami could be clawing and scratching its way for a possible postseason berth heading into the final weeks. Knowing how huge a home victory over the Packers would be on Christmas Day, Green Bay should be getting the Dolphins’ best effort here. This is why it is so paramount for the Packers to beat Los Angeles.

A tough road loss to the Dolphins could impact the Packers’ potential playoff seeding considerably.
