4. Sam Howell — Washington Commanders

The saga that is Carson Wentz’s career took yet another turn this offseason, as he was traded to the Washington Commanders to be their solution to their quarterback woes. While Wentz wasn’t necessarily good last year for Indianapolis, he was competent enough to be a starter.

Then, the Commanders drafted Sam Howell. North Carolina’s all-time leader in passing yards now gets the chance to push Wentz for the starting job. It remains to be seen how short of a leash Wentz will be on this season, but it’s fair to say that Howell will be putting at least a little bit of heat under Wentz’s chair.

For fantasy purposes, Howell has a better chance to play next season than Willis, which is why he’s ranked ahead of him. Plus, Howell has a pretty solid set of skill position players at his disposal. He’s a potential sleeper.
