3. Matt Corral — Carolina Panthers

The Carolina Panthers went into the offseason very loudly trying to upgrade at quarterback. They were in the running for Deshaun Watson, and have been linked to other veteran options such as Jimmy Garoppolo and Baker Mayfield. This means they obviously aren’t sold on Sam Darnold.

The Panthers drafted Matt Corral in the third round, and it would shock no one if he competed with Darnold at the very least. Corral has a legitimate chance to win the job, especially because the Panthers’ staff knows they may be on the hot seat.

If Corral were to play right away, he has a healthy group of skill position players — Christian McCaffrey, D.J. Moore and Robby Anderson. Corral would become a viable fantasy starter pretty quickly should he take over for Darnold. He’s another guy to keep an eye on as the season progresses.
