2. Desmond Ridder — Atlanta Falcons

One quarterback who wasn’t necessarily expected to be a part of the wild offseason of movement was Matt Ryan, who is now an Indianapolis Colt. The Falcons were left without Deshaun Watson, and Ryan decided it was time to move on. Is Marcus Mariota the long-term answer for Atlanta? Probably not. But their rookie signal caller has a better chance of that.

Desmond Ridder, at the very least, will challenge Mariota for the job. If he ends up starting, he’s set up for plentiful success in Arthur Smith’s offense, featuring Drake London, Kyle Pitts, and intriguing rookie running back Tyler Allgeier.

Ridder is an intriguing late-round draft option, as he does have upside to be a top-15 fantasy quarterback if he earns the starting job. This will be one to watch over the summer.
