Astros should trade for division rival Brad Miller

Brad Miller has been around for quite some time, and it’s always good to have that veteran presence on your team. Especially if you’re in the mix for a World Championship run. Miller brings a lot of versatility to the table; something that’s beneficial for almost any team.

The Astros are set throughout their lineup. Players like Jose Altuve, Alex Bregman, and Kyle Tucker are everyday players. But the Astros lack depth beyond their starting lineup. Adding Miller to the equation would definitely give manager Dusty Baker options.

Miller has experience playing all over the diamond. In his career with the Seattle Mariners, Tampa Bay Rays, Philadelphia Phillies, and four other organizations, Miller has played every position except catcher.

Brad Miller isn’t off to the best of starts in 2022, but the left-handed hitting utility player had 20 home runs last season and already has six round trippers through the first two months of this season.

Miller is under contract through next season, so there is a bit of a commitment attached to bringing the journeyman aboard. But with the Los Angeles Angels nipping at their heels in the standings, the Houston Astros need to add some depth to their bench.
