Chiefs: Tyreek Hill wasn’t happy with his targets
Like every wide receiver who eventually moves on from the team that drafted him, Hill was upset with the consistency of the targets he was receiving. One week, Hill would be the most targeted wideout on the team and come close to setting an NFL record. The next, he’d make fantasy owners angry. What was the deal? H/T Pro Football Talk.
"“If teams are gonna give us favorable one-on-one matches against their best corner, I don’t see why teams don’t utilize their best receiver,” Hill said. “And that’s where probably like me and the Chiefs fell apart right there. When I’m like, yo, I don’t mean to talk or be a diva in some situation but can I see the pill some time, please? Just give me the ball, please.”"
Whether he intended to be a diva or not, some Chiefs fans are bound to take his comments that way. Hill had the best quarterback in the NFL at his disposal and still found a way to be unhappy.
The grass isn’t always greener on the other side, and as capable as Tua may be, he is not Mahomes.
