Chiefs: 3 reasons why Tyreek Hill wanted out of Kansas City

Former Chiefs wide receiver Tyreek Hill revealed why he wanted out of Kansas City, and it wasn’t all about the money.
Hill was frustrated by a number of things, including a lack of targets and a perceived lack of flexibility which cost him dearly.
Hill views the Dolphins as a more ideal situation for him personally, and an honorable mention to this list should be that Tyreek is now the face of the franchise in Miami. Whether that is good or bad remains to be seen, as in such a QB-driven league, having a wideout as “the guy” doesn’t always add up to more wins. The following is courtesy of Pro Football Talk:
"“I don’t care about notoriety though,” Hill said. “I don’t care about none of that. . . . The only thing I care about is respect within the building. Notoriety outside the building, I don’t care about none of that, man. Because none of that ain’t gonna win us games on Sunday. . . . This is what I want inside the building. I want the head coach to know that on Sundays, that defenses fear Tyreek Hill. That’s what I want the head coach to know. And the head coach do know that, though. He know that without the Cheetah on the field, he know that, ‘Hey, Pat you’re gonna have a long day today.’”"
Yet, Hill believes in Tua Tagovailoa and a perceived winning culture in Miami.
Why did Tyreek Hill want a trade from the Chiefs? Money can’t be ignored
Money isn’t everything, but the Chiefs apparently wouldn’t come close to the contract Hill wanted when this whole saga began. Per the wideout himself, he was willing to be flexible with the front office.
Hill even went to Andy Reid directly and said that he didn’t need to be the highest-paid wide receiver in football. He just wanted a contract that made sense for himself and his family. If Hill is to be believed, then perhaps KC didn’t view him as an essential member of the team moving forward.
"“I tried my best,” Hill said. “I talked to the big man, Andy Reid. I talked to the quarterback. I’m like, ‘Look, can we make something happen? Can we make something happen? Can the guaranteed money make sense to me? Can it make sense to my family, please?”"
Brett Veach and Co. stuck to their guns, and Drew Rosenhaus helped find a couple trade partners for Hill. Hence why this all eventually went down in the first place.
