San Diego Padres star third baseman Manny Machado left Sunday’s game after a scary ankle injury.
San Diego Padres third baseman and early NL MVP candidate Manny Machado left Sunday’s game against the Colorado Rockies in the first inning.
He suffered an ankle injury after he hit a ball in front of home plate. When he was running down the baseline and when his foot hit first base, it slid off the back of the base and he rolled his ankle.
Machado, 29, had to be helped off the field by the Padres’ training staff and he could barely put any weight down on it.
