Extend Andrew Wiggins and Jordan Poole

Jordan Poole and Andrew Wiggins had their coming out parties this year, particularly in the playoffs, when they averaged 17 and 16.5 points per game respectively.

For Poole, it was proof that his first-round selection in 2019 was incredible savvy. For Wiggins, it was redemption after failing to live up to his No. 1 overall billing in Minnesota.

Being able to rely on players like Poole and Wiggins takes so much pressure off the likes of Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson. They’re the reason the Warriors had the depth it takes to make their championship run.

Fortunately, Golden State doesn’t have to get extensions done for either player immediately. They’re both under contract through next season. Still, the Warriors need to get those conversations underway sooner rather than later because they both deserve to be rewarded for their efforts in 2022. It’s about showing those players appreciation for their contributions by coming to the table immediately.
