Andrew Benintendi rumors: Atlanta Braves

The Braves are no strangers to trade deadline outfield upgrades. Just last season they traded for Jorge Soler, previously of the Royals. It helps that these two teams have done recent business.

Atlanta could once again use an outfield upgrade. Adam Duvall and Marcell Ozuna have been duds, hitting a combined .216. Add in Ronald Acuña’s oft-injured self, and it’s obvious Benintendi would be welcomed in the ATL with open arms.

Just a few weeks ago, FanSided’s Tim Boyle theorized that Benintendi would be a reliable replacement for Acuña, if necessary:

"“A 2021 Gold Glove winner in left field, there’s no doubt he’d be able to move over to right field if needed. The Braves could also shovel their outfielders around a little more with players like Adam Duvall showing quite a bit of versatility.”"

Now add in the emergence of Michael Harris II, and Atlanta’s outfield could be one of the best in the National League should they trade for this Royals star.
