Wide receiver the Green Bay Packers missed out on – DJ Chark

One of the more interesting wide receivers in free agency was DJ Chark of the Jacksonville Jaguars, who flashed talent but had poor quarterback play and injuries in his career. In the two seasons that Chark was healthy, he put up respectable numbers.

One of the more intriguing aspects of Chark is his size and speed combination at 6-foot-4 198 pounds and running a 4.34-second 40-yard dash. Chark hasn’t stayed healthy in his four years but he has the rare blend of physical tools that you cannot teach. Chark has also never had very good quarterback play in Jacksonville, so pairing him with Aaron Rodgers could have helped take him to the next level as a No. 1 wide receiver.

Any player that gets brought in to Green Bay likely would have their play elevated because of Rodgers at quarterback but the speed of Chark would’ve matched well with him. Time will tell if Chark can ever be a consistent playmaker, but his talent would have helped to solidify a weak room with the Packers.
