1. Final match between Roman Reigns and Brock Lesnar

WWE reportedly had Roman Reigns defending his Undisputed WWE Universal Championship against Randy Orton. However, they had to change course with Orton sidelined with a back injury. So, WWE booked the biggest title match they could think of for SummerSlam, and it was Reigns vs. Brock Lesnar.

These two stars have met countless times, with the first being the main event of WrestleMania 31 in 2015. They met in the main event at this past year’s WrestleMania, with Reigns defending his Universal Championship and winning Lesnar’s WWE Championship. But in Nashville on July 30, the two will compete in a grueling Last Man Standing match for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship.

WWE has advertised this match as potentially the last time that the two will compete one-on-one. But could this also be the last time that Lesnar wrestles in a WWE ring?

Last Friday, Chairman and CEO Vince McMahon revealed that he was retiring from all of his duties. Replacing him as co-CEO’s are Stephanie McMahon and Nick Khan. That day, reports surfaced from the TD Garden in Boston, MA, the site of SmackDown, that Lesnar stormed out of the arena in frustration following the news of McMahon’s retirement. Lesnar said something similar to “if he’s gone, I’m gone,” per the Wrestling Observer’s Bryan Alvarez.

Yet, Lesnar did make his return to the arena and showed up at the end of SmackDown to beat down Theory to end the show.

While the match with Reigns is still on, one has to wonder if this could be the last time Lesnar steps foot in a WWE ring. But it is entirely possible that McMahon, Khan, and Triple H find a way to ensure he makes future appearances. But, who knows.

Long story short, Lesnar is an attraction, and there are only so many chances to watch him compete live.
