2) Braves DH/first baseman Mike Ford

Like with Robinson Canó, Mike Ford is on his third MLB team this season, and he hasn’t played well with any of them in very limited playing time.

Ford, 30, has played in 22 games between the trio of teams, and he has hit .150/.320/.175 with zero home runs, five RBI, and nine walks. The Braves also just recalled him from Triple-A on Sunday, so he’s obviously one of the players that will be on his way out when deals are made.

He has played in five games with the Braves total this season (seven plate appearances) and he has yet to tally a hit. He has only been in the field once (as a pitcher in a blowout) as he has just been used as a DH or pinch hitter otherwise. With the two other teams, he has played a total of 11 innings at first base.

In other words, the Braves have a backup DH on their bench that hasn’t hit well. If someone is acquired, he’ll be one of the first few players that won’t be on the active roster after that.
