2. WR Romeo Doubs

The Packers made the choice to move on from wide receiver Davante Adams, trading him to the Las Vegas Raiders for their top two picks in this year’s NFL Draft. Immediately, the Raiders signed Adams to a five-year, $140 million contract extension. Not only that, but they watched Marquez Valdes-Scantling sign a three-year contract with the Kansas City Chiefs. That left the Packers in a bind, and they addressed the obvious position of need in the draft.

Christian Watson was the first receiver to get selected by the Packers. But it is Romeo Doubs, their fourth-round pick out of Nevada that is making a huge statement early on in camp.

One person that Doubs has caught the attention of is none other than quarterback and four-time NFL MVP Aaron Rodgers. This is what he said about Doubs thus far in training camp, with the quote coming courtesy of Ryan Wood of the Green Bay Press-Gazette.

As if the quote from Rodgers was not important enough, clips of Doubs’ impressive catches in practice have made the rounds on social media, including this catch from Family Night at Lambeau Field on Friday.

Doubs shined playing for the Wolfpack, as he is coming off back-to-back 1,000 receiving yard seasons. Through his four years with Nevada, Doubs recorded 225 catches for 3,322 yards and 26 touchdowns.

Considering how much thinner Green Bay’s wide receiving corps is, Doubs can be a serious contributor in his rookie season. Of course, that is if he can keep it up through the preseason.
