Packers bold predictions: 3. Rashan Gary will notch two sacks

Justin Fields may have been at the helm for Chicago’s surprising Week 1 win over the 49ers, but it’s not as if the Bears’ offense carried the team to victory. The young signal-caller only managed to complete 8 of his 17 passes for 121 yards in the opener.

Green Bay’s defense will load the box to force Fields to throw the ball more often this week. That, coupled with the likelihood that Chicago will fall behind is going to give the Packers’ front seven a lot of chances to rush the passer with reckless abandon.

That’s a brilliant recipe for Gary to have a big day from his outside linebacker spot. He should be favored to win any one-on-one matchup he gets against a Bears offensive tackle. When he gets downhill against the Bears’ offensive line it will be a nightmare for Fields.

Gary got one sack against the Vikings and Kirk Cousins last week but he’ll up his production in an easy win for the Packers this week. Put him down for two sacks unless the game gets so out of hand that Gary spends the second half lounging on the bench. This is a great matchup where he can pad his sack total for the year.
