2. Top Fantasy Football Pickups For Week 3 – New England Patriots WR Jakobi Meyers

You may want to hold your nose to invest in the New England passing game but points are points in fantasy football. No one will ever mistake Mac Jones for a gunslinger but his move-the-chains style of offense can offer some PPR value for the Patriots’ primary pass catchers.

The guy who popped in Week 2 was Jakobi Meyers, who was Jones’ go-to guy throughout the game. Meyers was targeted 13 times by Jones in Week 2 and racked up nine receptions for 95 yards in the process, which is an excellent day in PPR leagues.

While Nelson Agholor did find the end zone and Davante Parker is still around, Meyers is clearly the most trusted option for Jones and the Patriots at the moment. There will likely be some low weeks for Meyers, who is playing on an offense that wants to establish the run, but his PPR floor makes him worth rostering after this week’s explosion.

Meyers is rostered in just 35 percent of Yahoo leagues and that figures to increase dramatically after his breakout performance in Pittsburgh. Expecting a repeat of the 9-95 line will likely lead to disappointment but Meyers is a good flex option depending on his matchup.
