2) Braves will win the World Series because they proved they can do it before

The Braves aren’t in the baseball business, they’re in the empire business. By locking up so many of their young stars for many years to come, they’ve secured many opportunities to end the year with a championship. The 2022 season certainly looks like it could be another one headed their way.

Although this year’s team won’t have Joc Pederson to help and Eddie Rosario is hardly the player he was for them last season, many of the core members remain the same. They’ll even have Ronald Acuna Jr. available to participate. That alone makes up for the absence of any of the Joctober magic the team won’t get to experience this season.

Something has to be said about the recent experience they went through as a team. Even if no MLB team has won back-to-back championships since the New York Yankees in 1999 and 2000, someone is bound to eventually buck the trend. Why not this year’s Braves squad?

The Braves are a deep team. And despite having a relatively young roster by comparison, those rookie and sophomore jitters ended with all of the postseason experience in 2022. Rookies on this year’s club like Michael Harris and Spencer Strider can at least turn to their colleagues if the bright lights get too hot.
