1. Michigan’s “INTs” vs. Maryland

The refs really screwed up not one, but two interception calls in favor of Michigan on Saturday. Neither of them was reviewed. That’s wild.

Sure, in real time you can see why the officials might have thought the defender caught the ball. That’s what replay is for. Looking at the video it’s pretty clear those weren’t completed. The fact that the replay wasn’t triggered is a travesty.

There’s a good chance one, if not both, of those calls would have been reversed if anyone had taken a second look.

In a tight game, one bad call could have made all the difference. Two of them almost certainly impacted the outcome of the game. The first INT came with Maryland leading 13-10 in the first half. The second was when the Terrapins trailed by eight in the third quarter. The Wolverines scored a touchdown on the ensuing drive and won by just seven.
