Braves who won’t make NLDS roster: Ehire Adrianza

Adrianza is likely to be the odd man out come when the Braves NLDS roster is released. Atlanta is expected to carry six outfielders — most likely to be Ronald Acuña Jr, Robbie Grossman, Michael Harris II, Guillermo Heredia, Marcell Ozuna and Eddie Rosario.

Ozuna would’ve been a major question mark heading into September, but he really turned his season around and even got two starts in the designated hitter slot during the Mets series, which speaks to how Brian Snitker feels about him now. Ozuna slashed .321/.368/.585 with three home runs and a 164 wRC+ in 16 games in September.

Atlanta will have to decide between Guillermo Heredia and Adrianza. Neither will receive a starting opportunity, but Heredia offers more potential as a pinch runner, hence my thinking here. Unless the Braves decide they want even more depth in the outfield — which seems unlikely given their current infield injuries to the likes of Albies and more — Adrianza could be on the outside looking in.
