Heisman Trophy Power Rankings: Bo Nix trying to crash C.J. Stroud, Hendon Hooker’s party

The biggest riser not named Bo Nix is none other than TCU Horned Frogs quarterback Max Duggan.
After defeating the Oklahoma State Cowboys in overtime last week, Duggan looked to hold off another top team in the Big 12 in the Kansas State Wildcats. He was able to do just that.
The Horned Frogs actually trailed 28-10 in the second quarter, but Duggan was able to bring them back into the game. He threw two touchdown passes since that deficit, one a four-yard pass to Jared Wiley and the other a 55-yard pass to Quentin Johnston to take the lead in the third quarter.
Duggan completed 17-of-26 passes for 280 yards and three touchdowns in the 38-28 victory.
TCU and Duggan will look to extend their season record to 8-0 next week when they face the West Virginia Mountaineers.

The USC Trojans were on a bye in Week 8, and it took place after they suffered their first loss of the season. They fell 43-42 to the Utah Utes, wasting what was a great performance by quarterback Caleb Williams.
In the game, Williams threw for 381 yards and five touchdowns while completing 25-of-42 pass attempts. Yet, it was not enough for the team to get the win, as the defense squandered a late 42-35 lead on a touchdown run and a two-point conversion by Cameron Rising with less than a minute remaining in regulation.
Williams and the Trojans return in Week 9, as they take on the Arizona Wildcats.
