2. Las Vegas Raiders

This offseason, new Raiders general manager Dave Zeigler was very busy. The signature move was dealing for Packers wide receiver Davante Adams. But there was one other significant acquisition via free agency in the signing of edge rusher Chandler Jones. It happened the same day the team sent Yannick Ngakoue to the Colts and picked up cornerback Rock Ya-Sin in the process. The former leads Indianapolis with 3.5 sacks this season.

But Jones has been a bit underwhelming in his newest home. The veteran defender has totaled 14 stops and is second on the team with six QB hits. But the team leader is standout Maxx Crosby, who has 11 quarterback hits and six of the club’s nine sacks in 2022.

Meanwhile, Jones has one-half sack in six starts this season. Las Vegas ranks 27th in the league against the pass and have already given up 13 scores through the air. Perhaps Quinn could jumpstart what has been a disappointing year to date.

Defense has been an issue for this franchise for too many seasons. And the pass rush has been an issue. The Silver and Black hasn’t finished a season with at least 40 quarterback traps since 2010. And seven weeks into the season, the Raiders have an NFL-low nine sacks, albeit in six contests.
