Patriots starting WR DeVante Parker

Though DeVante Parker is more likely to be traded than Meyers, he’s still pretty unlikely to go. He was just traded from the Miami Dolphins during the offseason, and he’s been proving to be a good addition to the team.

On Monday night, he worked well with Zappe to catch a 43-yard pass, bringing the Pats to the 7-yard line which set Rhamondre Stevenson up to rush the ball into the end zone for a touchdown that gave the Patriots a 14-10 lead.

With Parker, it’s a concept of “don’t fix what’s not broken.” He’s a new addition, and though he hasn’t played many games with New England yet, he’s living up to his expectations and doing exactly what he needs to do.

The Pats traded for him for his ability to jump for deep passes, and he beautifully proved he will do that on Monday. There’s too much potential in him to be worth trading away just yet.
