NBA teams already looking like they need a trade: Sacramento Kings

It is time for a full rebuild for the Sacramento Kings. They’ve been trying to build around De’Aaron Fox since he was drafted back in 2017. It’s been five years and they haven’t come close to making the playoffs. In fact, their record has gotten worse every year and in their first seven games so far this year, it looks like that trend will continue.

Last season, prior to the trade deadline, the Kings acquired center Domantas Sabonis from the Indiana Pacers for Tyrese Haliburton, Buddy Hield and Tristan Thompson. That trade, at this point, has been won by the Pacers. That was seemingly their last move in hopes to build a competitive team in the West before a complete rebuild and it looks like that time is coming.

They need a fresh start and if they can find teams interested in Sabonis, Fox, or even Harrison Barnes, that’ll give them a great start and should get them some picks in return as well to go along with their stellar rookie Keegan Murray. It’s tough to trade a guy that is capable of doing this:

But, he could so much more on a team that is ready to compete right now, and that is not the position the Kings are in right now.
