3. Top Fantasy Football Pickups For Week 10 – New York Jets WR Garrett Wilson

We’ve covered Wilson in this space before, notably after his breakout performance against Cleveland in Week 2, and fantasy owners responded appropriately with pickups en masse. The Jets’ shift to a more rushing-based attack led to a slow but steady trickle of Wilson drops over the weeks, making him a player that is more available in leagues than he should be.

Zach Wilson has formed a strong connection with the rookie receiver over the past two games and it has led to strong PPR numbers. Week 9 saw Wilson catch 6-of-7 targets for 115 yards while Week 10 brought nine targets for Wilson, who caught eight of them for 92 yards.

While it is disappointing that Wilson hasn’t found the end zone since that Week 2 blowup he is still an extremely talented receiver forming a growing connection with his quarterback. The Jets do like to run the ball but if Wilson is going to be the primary receiving threat those PPR performances will play thanks to his precise route running and excellent hands.

The fact that Wilson is rostered in only 62 percent of Yahoo! leagues makes no sense. New York is on bye in Week 10 but smart owners who have an opportunity to grab Wilson should do so as he will be a weekly starter for them down the stretch.
