Toasty Buns: Which college football head coaches are feeling the heat in Week 11?

Neal Brown must win out to have any realistic shot of staying at West Virginia
When Texas Tech rang West Virginia’s bell a few weeks back in Lubbock, it was ominous for what could be in store for Mountaineers head coach Neal Brown. Although they did put up points at home vs. the undefeated TCU Horned Frogs in Morgantown, the ‘Eers got pushed around badly by a struggling Iowa State Cyclones team in Ames. It is a tough road environment there, but come on!
At 3-6 (1-5), West Virginia must win out to achieve bowl eligibility. Although Oklahoma, Kansas State and Oklahoma State can all get got, that feels like an impossible parlay for Brown’s program to pull off. It has gotten incredibly stale in Morgantown and it is clear that WVU needs to hire a head coach with a bit of an edge to him. The Mountaineers will have a new head coach this spring.
Brown could win in the Power Five again one day, but West Virginia was too hard of a job for him.
I don’t even know what happens to Jimbo Fisher if Texas A&M loses to Auburn
While the losing streak is going to end at some point, especially with UMass at home before the LSU game, I don’t even know what is going to happen to Jimbo Fisher should Texas A&M fall on the road to Auburn on Saturday. It is battle of two traditional powers at 3-6, fighting to stay alive in bowl conversations for one more day. What if Cadillac and the Tigers actually win this game?
Although Carnell Williams is a legendary former Auburn running back, he is only an interim head coach for them. Even if Auburn gave Mike Leach’s Mississippi State Bulldogs fits, that happens to Leach-led teams from time to time. However, a sixth straight SEC loss may cause Texas A&M boosters to start drilling heavily, as they will need to buy out the snake oil salesman immediately.
Losing at Auburn to an interim coach would be so beyond devastating for the Texas A&M program.
