2. Alabama Crimson Tide

Opponent: at Ole Miss | Time: Saturday, Nov. 12, 3:30 p.m. ET | Spread: BAMA -11.5

Much like with Clemson, I’m not sure why we’re just supposed to blindly trust Alabama when they play good teams. By my measure, the Crimson Tide have faced three high-quality opponents this season and those have resulted in a one-point win over Texas (a team that played three quarters with its backup quarterback), and losses to Tennessee and LSU.

Do I believe that Ole Miss is on the level of the Vols and Tigers? No. But I also know that this Rebels team coming off of its idle week should be much healthier and rested defensively to try and slow down Bryce Young and Co. while they have a defined offensive identity with Zach Evans, Quinshon Judkins and an elite rushing attack.

At minimum, this line shouldn’t be at double digits in favor of Alabama, especially in Oxford. But I also wouldn’t rule out Lane Kiffin making this game his Super Bowl and having Ole Miss primed to hand the Tide their second-straight loss.

1. Oregon Ducks

Opponent: Washington | Time: Saturday, Nov. 12, 7 p.m. ET | Spread: ORE -13.5

Bo Nix and the Oregon Ducks have become the toast of the town since they got torched by Georgia to start the season. They come into Week 11 with eight consecutive wins and are now slotted in at No. 6 in the latest College Football Playoff rankings.

But it feels like the schedule for the Ducks is going entirely overlooked. Outside of beating UCLA — a team that has been a sieve defensively — Oregon doesn’t have a win over a team that’s currently ranked. Moreover, they’ve beat up on the bottom of the Pac-12 with big wins over Arizona, Cal and Colorado.

Washington is far from perfect and their defense could be every bit as generous as the Bruins’. At the same time, the Huskies offense has been explosive and could push Oregon on Saturday night. What’s more, anyone who watched Auburn still has the feeling that Nix is due for an absolute head-scratcher. Because of all of that, the Ducks could very well find themselves in danger in Week 11.
