WWE NXT is on fire right now and some of the brand’s top superstars look ready to make their way to the main roster.

Coming off of NXT Halloween Havoc, WWE NXT continues its invigorating Tuesday night show that always leaves everyone surprised. We’re witnessing the development of some future WWE Raw or SmackDown superstars.

Recently, we’ve seen Santos Escobar and Legado del Fantasma receive their call-up to SmackDown’s main roster. Immediately, they began a feud with Hit Row and have been making a name for themselves already. Originally, Elektra Lopez was a part of the group but was replaced by Zelina Vega due to the call-up and it appears she will remain on NXT. We’ve also seen Solo Sikoa receive the highly anticipated call-up to join his brothers in The Bloodline.

Something else that’s been enjoyable and we can only hope continues is current NXT superstars making random appearances on the main roster. Not only does this benefit the superstar and gives them the experience with the fans, but also introduces them to the fans. That way, when they’re called up to the main roster, fans know who they are.

For example, Cameron Grimes made an appearance on Monday Night Raw a few weeks ago to recruit The O.C. to team with him to help him take out Schism (Joe Gacy, Jagger Reid and Rip Fowler) on NXT.

In addition to that, NXT’s Roxanne Perez appeared on SmackDown to team up with Raquel Rodriguez and Shotzi to try and take down Damage CTRL (Bayley, Dakota Kai and Iyo Sky).

Moving forward, this will be an effective way to get superstars more prepared for the main roster. Nonetheless, here are five NXT superstars that stand out as the most call-up superstars right now.

5. Nikkita Lyons has superstar written all over her as she continues to build her character

At just 23 years old, Lyons has already received the pleasure of holding some gold in NXT. Two weeks ago, Lyons and Zoey Stark defeated Kayden Carter and Katana Chance for the NXT Women’s Tag Team Championships, but only because the referee missed a tag. The call was reversed and Chance & Carter retained the gold.

With a rematch looming, Lyons hopes to once again carry some gold.

The crazy part about it is she doesn’t need to win the title (but she will). Many expect her to eventually be the one to dethrone Mandy Rose for the NXT Women’s Championship. If she does win the title, expect her to be the champ for a while. Whether that day comes or not, Lyons is ready for the call-up right now. Her fire and tenacity in the ring are unmatched in NXT right now, and the fans love her. Not to mention, she has a unique move-set and signature leg-drop finisher.

As her character continues to grow, so will she. In the ring and on the mic. She’s a crowd favorite and if she were to be called up by early next year I wouldn’t be surprised at all.
