The very best things in College Football Week 11: Ohio State’s captain, LSU’s MJ, Notre Dame’s catch
The best things in college football this week include Ohio State celebrating Kamryn Babb’s TD, Harold Perkins going off for LSU and more.
The final stretch of the college football season is on the horizon which means bowl eligibility, division titles and conference championship game berths are all up for grabs
To whet the appetite in Week 11, we saw LSU clinch the SEC West courtesy of their win over Arkansas and Alabama’s win over Ole Miss. We also saw UConn snag bowl eligibility by beating Liberty.
What else stood out about this week in college football?
“This is why we love CFB” moment of the week: Kamryn Babb, Ohio State
Kamryn Babb was a Top 100 prospect in Ohio State’s class of 2018 but he’s never gotten the opportunity to shine because of multiple devastating knee injuries. Despite his inability to contribute on the field, he’s been an off-the-field leader for the Buckeyes all the while.
So when Babb made his first career catch against Indiana, for a touchdown, the entire OSU family was over the moon.
How can you not cheer for a moment like that?
Most impressive performance of the week: Harold Perkins, LSU
A couple of weeks ago, Ohio State’s JT Tuimoloau went off with arguably the performance of the season on defense.
This week, Harold Perkins made a run at Tuimoloau’s crown by almost single-handedly getting LSU by Arkansas.
The five-star freshman finished his day with eight tackles, with four tackles for loss including four sacks. He forced two fumbles.
Incredibly, he did that despite playing through the flu. Even more incredible? He didn’t know who MJ was.
Best college football play of Week 11: Braden Lenzy, Notre Dame
It’s time to retire the “Prothro.” Making an incredible catch off the back of an opponent is now officially the “Lenzy.”
Notre Dame wide receiver Braden Lenzy made that preposterous catch against Navy on Saturday.
GIF-worthy college football video of the day: Michigan nutcracker
Players who see this video might think twice about trying to hurdle someone in the future.

That’s Nebraska wide receiver Alante Brown taking a hit from Michigan defensive back Mike Sainristil in the last place any man wants to get hit.
At least Brown seemed okay after the play.
Hurdle of the week: Will Shipley, Clemson
Of course, players may look at what Will Shipley did to Louisville’s defense and get back on the hurdle train.
Are we sure Shipley isn’t an Olympic hurdler in disguise?
