It has been an up-and-down year for the defending AFC champions. The club dropped its first two games but have since righted the ship. However, recent blowout wins over the Falcons and Panthers were offset by a 19-point Monday night loss at Cleveland in Week 8.

Zac Taylor’s team is also 0-3 vs. their AFC North rivals this year. And while quarterback Joe Burrow has been electric at times, the offensive line still appears to be a work in progress.

Brian Daboll’s club returned from its off week and hosted the pesky Texans. Running back Saquon Barkley was very busy on Sunday, totaling 35 carries for 152 yards and one score. Quarterback Daniel Jones (24) also contributed to the club’s 191 yards on the ground.

The Giants also played turnover-free football while forcing Houston into a couple of mistakes. And Big Blue moved into second place in the NFC East with the Cowboys’ loss at Green Bay.

There’s a lot of buzz surrounding Robert Saleh’s club, which has shown a knack for comebacks as well as playing well on the road (4-0). More significantly, the team has learned to win games vs. their division rivals.

The Jets are 2-1 vs. their AFC East rivals this season, this after going a combined 0-12 vs. the Bills, Dolphins and Patriots from 2020-21. Saleh’s squad has allowed just 312.0 yards per game. And 6-3 is a very far cry from 4-13 a season ago.
