Minnesota Vikings defensive back Kris Boyd called out Washington Commanders quarterback Taylor Heinicke for copying Kirk Cousins’ postgame celebration.

The Minnesota Vikings are now tied for the best record in the entire NFL following the Philadelphia Eagles’ loss to the Washington Commanders on Monday night. The Commanders were led by quarterback Taylor Heinicke, who has won three games in his four starts taking over for Carson Wentz.

After the game, videos were shared by members of the Commanders defense putting glasses and chains on Heinicke. Vikings quarterback Kirk Cousins wore those two exact things after wins.

Minnesota cornerback Kris Boyd caught wind of the video being shared on Twitter and shared his thoughts. Warning: The tweet is NSFW.

It should be noted that Cousins has had this look and danced on flights after Minnesota victories. The look went viral last week when the Vikings bounced back from a 17-7 deficit to defeat the Commanders 20-17. Of course, the Commanders were Cousins’ former team.

There is something about Washington when they face undefeated teams midseason or later. Back in 2020, the Commanders handed the Pittsburgh Steelers their first loss of that season, and it subsequently sent them into a downward spiral. This year, they made the Eagles look foolish, and they capitalized on multiple mistakes by their offense.

Heinicke attempted 17-of-29 pass attempts for 211 yards while throwing one interception. The quarterback also had a smart play at the end of the game, as he scrambled outside of the pocket and kneeled down. A second after doing so, defensive end Brandon Graham tackled him, got an unnecessary roughness penalty and extended Washington’s drive.

The Vikings had a huge Week 10, as they defeated the Buffalo Bills 33-30 in overtime in what could be the Game of the Year.

Since these two teams have already met back in Week 9, the next time they could potentially meet is in the playoffs. We’ll see how the rest of the season goes for both teams.
