12. Pitt Pitts in the most Pittiful fashion, as Miami achieves bowl eligibility

Thanksgiving Weekend would a most wonderful time for Pitt to Pitt again. Last year’s ACC champions have been anything but that this season. Despite playing in the truly awful ACC Coastal, the Panthers are not going back to Charlotte in two weeks. While they still have a bowl game to play in, wouldn’t it be something for Pitt to Pitt again vs. Miami to get the Canes to 6-6?

It has been a most frustrating first year back in Coral Gables for former Hurricanes offensive lineman Mario Cristobal. While one would think that he will eventually get it right and make The U The U again, that is not happening until next year at the absolute earliest. For now, his team has one shot to get to six wins on the year left. Fortunately, Pitt can lose to anyone at any given time.

The prospect of Miami being able to hold bowl practices is the only reason to watch this bad game.

11. Tuck Coming for the Land Grant Trophy, Sparty stuns Penn State to get to 6-6

No doubt about it, this has been a rough year for Mel Tucker and the Michigan State Spartans. They have massively underperformed in the Big Ten. After losing to traditional rival Indiana, Sparty needs to beat a top-15 Penn State team to win the Land Grant and achieve bowl eligibility. Since Michigan State has slightly more to play for in this one, it would be a great time for Tuck Coming…

Not to say a win over rival Penn State will help salvage what is a lost season for the Spartans, but being able to hold bowl game practices could be a way to have some momentum heading into next season. Despite being paid a ridiculous amount of money, Tucker should be in East Lansing for a while. Since this is a rivalry game of sorts, maybe Tucker proves he is the better head coach?

Keep in mind that we have seen James Franklin lose many games often amid any sort of adversity.

10. LSU destroys Texas A&M, allowing Ross Bjork to fire Jimbo Fisher on the spot

Nobody has had a worse season in terms of overall expectations than Jimbo Fisher’s Texas A&M Aggies. This was a team with serious College Football Playoff aspirations at the start of it. Now, the Aggies are 4-7 on the year and will probably finish the unmitigated disaster of a campaign at 4-8, assuming SEC West champion LSU takes care of business before its huge game vs. Georgia.

While LSU could technically lose to Texas A&M, all the Tigers need to do is score 30 points because the Aggies offense is not capable of hitting that mark. Should it get ugly in College Station, what is to stop Texas A&M athletic director Ross Bjork from firing Fisher on the spot? It is not going to be on par with getting tarmac-ed, but it would certainly send shockwaves throughout the Power Five.

Texas A&M losing to LSU isn’t shocking, but Bjork firing Fisher before he walks off the field sure is.
