Gleyber Torres trades the Yankees need to get to work on right now

2) Yankees rumors involving a Gleyber Torres trade should includne the Chicago White Sox
Another time with second base issues, the Chicago White Sox have been in search for a player to pair up the middle with Tim Anderson for quite some time. Inviting Elvis Andrus back is one option for them. They can swing bigger by acquiring Torres.
Torres actually fits in well with the younger White Sox team. He turns 26 in December. There are two years left of team control on his contract, too.
The White Sox didn’t have an especially active winter last offseason. It cost them big. They were playoff observers and never serious contenders.
Torres at second base can help them replace any power they lose from the departure of Jose Abreu, just in case he ends up somewhere else. Although Torres isn’t quite as proven as the longtime White Sox first baseman and has fallen on some tough times, he does continue to hit for power.
The best years of Torres’ career could still be on the way. It may seem like he has been around forever, however, he is only five seasons into his career.
Now a lifetime .265/.331/.455 hitter with an average of 28 home runs per 162 games, Torres isn’t quite what he was in his first two big league seasons. Compared to other second basemen across the league, he is elite. The White Sox can offer the Yankees a major league-ready player.
If they’re feeling especially daring, maybe the Yankees even look to have Liam Hendriks to help headline the deal. They experienced plenty of issues at the back of their bullpen. A Torres for Hendriks swap can help both teams with the White Sox looking elsewhere for their next closer.
