2. Winter Classic

It’s one thing to witness an NHL game live. But outdoor hockey in a huge stadium? That is something you have to take in.

Usually, around New Year’s, the NHL holds a regular-season game in a baseball or football stadium. Some venues that have hosted outdoor games include Yankee Stadium in The Bronx, Michigan Stadium in Ann Arbor, and Wrigley Field in Chicago, just to name a few.

Additionally, the participating teams don retro uniforms that pay homage to their historic teams.

In 2023, Fenway Park will host the Winter Classic for the second time ever. The Boston Bruins will be taking on the Pittsburgh Penguins.

If you’re tempted to go to a Winter Classic, we say do it. But, be sure to have some coffee or hot chocolate at the ready to keep warm in the brisk January outdoors.
