4. Top Fantasy Football Pickups For Week 13 – Houston Texans WR Nico Collins

One of the annoying facets of the way the NFL has scheduled this year is that bye weeks are not over despite seeing all 32 teams play in Week 12. Two teams are off in Week 13 and another six in Week 14, making flex options at positions like wide receiver important in the stretch run.

One player who is emerging at the position is Texans’ rookie Nico Collins, who has become more involved in the passing game over the past few weeks. Collins was targeted nine times by Kyle Allen in Week 12 and caught six of them for 44 yards, a performance that will definitely play in PPR leagues.

The Texans have kept Collins involved despite switching quarterbacks as he has received a combined 26 targets over the past three games. Collins has turned those targets into 16 catches for 141 yards and a touchdown, which is perfectly respectable given the level of passers Houston has to work with.

There is a good opportunity to buy in on Collins, who is rostered in just 24 percent of leagues, with Cleveland coming to town in Week 13. Teams in need of help at wide receiver should make a play for Collins, who is a serviceable flex play going forward.
