3. Top Fantasy Football Pickups For Week 13 – Baltimore Ravens RB Gus Edwards

The long-awaited breakout for Gus Edwards has arrived in Baltimore. A slow recovery from last season’s ACL injury sidelined Edwards for most of the season before delivering a pair of solid performances in Weeks 7 and 8.

Minor injuries kept Edwards out until Sunday but he was Baltimore’s lead back in a 28-27 loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars. The Ravens gave Edwards 16 carries and he turned them into 52 yards and a touchdown on the afternoon.

The only threat to Edwards’ rushing workload was quarterback Lamar Jackson, who carried 14 times for 80 yards, but that isn’t unusual in Baltimore’s game plan. The other running backs in the Ravens’ backfield combined for just five yards on three carries, making this Edwards’ backfield for the time being.

There is a limited window to get in on Edwards, who is rostered in 55 percent of leagues, ahead of a Week 13 matchup with the struggling Denver Broncos, who were gashed on the ground in a loss to the Carolina Panthers. Edwards should be firmly on the RB2 radar for that matchup.
