2. Top Fantasy Football Pickups For Week 13 – Jacksonville Jaguars RB JaMycal Hasty

No one wants to deal with a running back injury late in the season and the Jaguars may have suffered a big one in their win over the Baltimore Ravens. Travis Etienne, who had stabilized the backfield as an RB1 this season, left Sunday’s game early with a foot injury and did not return.

The fact that Etienne is having a foot issue is bad since it comes after a Lisfranc injury cost him the entire 2021 season. There was some optimism after the game that Etienne could be back in Week 12 but it wouldn’t be shocking to see Jacksonville play it safe with their top rusher given his importance to their long-term future.

One of the guys who stepped in to fill the void when Etienne went down was JaMycal Hasty, who carried 12 times for 28 yards while also catching five passes for 67 yards and a touchdown. The 17 touches are a positive for Hasty, who has the ability to factor into the game plan as a pass catcher even if he is facing a stout run defense like the one Baltimore possesses.

There is a risk that newly acquired Darrell Henderson could factor into the mix if Etienne misses time but Hasty’s pass-catching skills make him the preferred pickup in this backfield. Hasty is rostered in just 3 percent of Yahoo! leagues and has a plus matchup against the Detroit Lions’ suspect defense in Week 13.
