2022 NFL power rankings, Week 13: Dolphins, Chiefs stay hot
Brian Daboll’s team looked to avenge an early-season loss to the Cowboys as the teams met in Arlington on Thanksgiving. The Giants actually owned a 13-7 advantage at intermission, but once again, New York’s run defense had its issues as they allowed Mike McCarthy’s team to run for 169 yards.
Daboll’s squad wound up giving up 21 second-half points. And after sweeping in Dallas in 2016, Big Blue is 1-11 in its last 12 outings vs. the Cowboys.
Ron Rivera’s club had an opportunity to match its 2021 victory total when they hosted the unpredictable Falcons. Running back Brian Robinson had a big afternoon, rushing 18 times for 105 yards and catching a 14-yard TD pass from Taylor Heinicke.
Washington owned a six-point lead late in the fourth quarter. But Kendall Fuller’s end zone interception of a deflected Marcus Mariota pass (by Daron Payne) sealed a third straight win for the Commanders.
The Patriots were hoping to make it four consecutive wins when they took on the Vikings on Thanksgiving night at Minnesota. It proved to be a very entertaining contest with plenty of momentum swings.
Mac Jones threw for 382 yards and two touchdowns. And New England’s offense gained 407 total yards. But the Patriots’ defense had very few answers for Kirk Cousins, who overcame an interception and threw for 299 yards and three scores.
