1. Trade for Kyrie Irving

Kyrie Irving’s tenure in Brooklyn has been defined by news headlines, rather than his play on the court. Irving returned to the Nets’ lineup on Nov. 20 after apologizing for sharing a link to a documentary that contained anti-Semitic material.

The Nets would probably like to move Irving, but that may not be as easy as it seems. Chris Haynes of Yahoo Sports gave an insight into Irving’s trade value around the league on the Dan Patrick Show.

“I can’t sit here and lie to you and say there’s much value in trading for Kyrie,” Haynes said during an appearance on the Dan Patrick Show. “I’m on the phone with a lot of teams. His name is not really coming up, even for the Los Angeles Lakers, who he was tied to for much of the offseason. That’s just not something I’m hearing right now.”

So, any team willing to acquire Irving would likely get him at a reduced cost. On the court, Irving is still playing at a high level. Last season, he averaged 27.4 points and 5.8 assists, while shooting 41.8 percent from three. This season, he is averaging 24.5 points and 4.2 assists in 14 games. Irving would give the Heat another legitimate superstar player, and his shooting and playmaking would be a nice fit alongside Jimmy Butler and Bam Adebayo.

Here is a potential Irving trade.

If the Nets trade Irving, they will still try to remain competitive with Kevin Durant and Ben Simmons. At age 36, Lowry is no longer in his prime, but he is still a valuable starter. Meanwhile, Strus is only 26 years old, and he shot 41.0 percent from 3 last season.
