USC will beat Utah, 38-35

USC lost to Utah 43-42 in October in Salt Lake City. They will get their revenge in Las Vegas on Friday night.

The Trojans are getting healthy again with linebacker Eric Gentry making a successful return against Notre Dame. The Utes are having injuries pile up, including the loss of RB Tavion Thomas, DE Van Fillinger, DE Jonah Elliss and others.

Kyle Whittingham has fielded a damn good football team this year. However, this time the quarterback battle isn’t in his favor. Cam Rising is at his best at home. On the road, he has consistently made the devastating mistakes that have resulted in losses. Meanwhile, Caleb Williams has only grown in confidence and belief.

Lincoln Riley and his team have preached the importance of being knocked now and learning how to get back up again. They’ve taken the lessons from that setback and applied them to victories over the likes of UCLA and Notre Dame in the past few weeks. They’ll get the last one they need to grab hold of the Pac-12 Championship with even more available down the line.
