Defending champions France play Poland in the round of 16 at the World Cup on Sunday, Dec. 4 at Al Thumama Stadium in Doha, Qatar. Here’s how to watch.

France, the reigning World Cup winners, will face Poland on Sunday at the World Cup in a last-16 clash that evokes a great matchup between the two European nations dating back to 1982.

France and Poland faced off in the third-place game during the World Cup that year with Poland prevailing 3-2.

The French, who topped Group D, are led by striker Kylian Mbappe, who has three goals so far at this World Cup, forming a formidable frontline with Oliver Giroud and Antoine Griezmann.

Les Bleus are coming off a 1-0 defeat to Tunisia to close out the group stage after France manager Didier Deschamps rested most of his starting lineup ahead of the knockout round. France had clinched first place in the group ahead of the Tunisia game.

Poland, meanwhile, backed into the round of 16 following a 2-0 defeat to Argentina. Led by striker Robert Lewandowski, Poland finished second in Group C after edging Mexico on a fair play tie-breaker for having a fewer amount of yellow cards.

The teams had been tied on goal differential, which is the first tie-breaker used.
