3. Top Fantasy Football Pickups For Week 14 – New York Jets QB Mike White

We talked about Mike White in this space last week as the top fantasy pickup available but no one really bit after his strong performance against the Chicago Bears. White is rostered in only 18 percent of leagues, which means plenty of people in need of solid quarterback play missed out on his strong performance against the Minnesota Vikings.

The box score is a bit deceiving with White, who completed 31-of-57 passes on the afternoon with a pair of interceptions, but one of the picks hit the hands of Corey Davis and popped into the air for an easy turnover. White showed impressive command of the Jets’ offense once again, throwing for 369 yards and rushing for a touchdown on the afternoon as New York narrowly lost 27-22.

The line could have been even better for White, who just missed a deep touchdown strike to Garrett Wilson earlier in the day while Braxton Berrios dropped a catchable ball in the end zone on fourth and goal. The offensive scheme that the Jets run creates plenty of easy yardage for White, who is a solid point guard to get the ball into the hands of playmakers like Wilson, Elijah Moore and Denzel Mims.

The Jets have a tricky Week 14 matchup in Buffalo but White has shown enough to warrant pickups as a streaming option, especially for teams who may be without Lamar Jackson in Week 14. Matchups with Detroit, Jacksonville and Seattle in the fantasy playoffs are also very tantalizing so a team in need of quarterback help should scoop up White as a potential league-winning QB1.
