2. Candace Parker can create for her teammates

Clearly, the team relies on Vandersloot and Quigley to handle the ball. But Parker’s ability to see the floor provides the Sky with another dynamic, spreading the floor in transition and allowing wings to flex out to the 3-point line while she cuts down the middle.

Sometimes teams don’t have players who can create their own offense. Needless to say, Parker can create her own offense along with Cooper, Vandersloot, Quigley, and Meesseman.

Having a starting five where every player can create their own offense stretches out opposing defenses. And Parker’s abilities allow Chicago head coach James Wade to use lineups without their primary ball handlers on the floor.

Despite her scoring average decreasing (by choice), Parker is still a threat on offense. She helps this team with the pick-and-roll whether she calls for the pick or sets it. Throughout the last two seasons, the Sky have dominated with their high-low action.

The 6-foot-4 point-forward can carve up defenses by slashing to the lane or kicking the ball out to the open wing.
