7. Nikola Vucevic, Center, Chicago Bulls

Want to know someone who wasn’t deemed “untouchable” by the Chicago front office? That would be star center Nikola Vucevic, who the Bulls traded a multitude of assets for in 2021. With Chicago refusing to give Vucevic an extension, it’s possible we’ll see the 6-foot-10 center dealt. It’s clear that the Vucevic-Derozan-LaVine trio must end. The group has the eighth-worst net rating so far this season … it’s time for a change.

Would Chicago seek draft capital or some young pieces for a re-tool? Golden State and Boston are awesome fits, both of whom are seeking a center that can stretch the floor. The two-time All-Star is averaging 16 points and 11 rebounds per game.

6. Myles Turner, Center, Indiana Pacers

Turner has been truly special this season, benefiting from strong pick-and-roll offense thanks to his young counterpart Tyrese Haliburton. In Turner’s career, he’s set on ball screens and rolled to the basket 55 percent of the time. This year, he’s rolled to the basket an astonishing 78.2 percent of the time, clearly finishing at a high level. But what’s made Turner truly special this season is his perimeter scoring ability.

The eight-year vet has been putting up career numbers since Tyrese Haliburton has come to town, playing his best basketball in a contract year. We’ve heard the Myles Turner trade rumors for years, but will the 26-year-old sign an extension or will the Pacers be forced to trade him or risk losing him for nothing this offseason?
