2. NFL Teams That Should Be On Upset Alert In Week 15 – New England Patriots

Monday night’s victory over Arizona allowed New England to leapfrog both the Chargers and New York Jets to climb into the final Wild Card spot in the AFC. Bill Belichick’s team currently has a 7-6 record but it is hard to find a ton of reasons to believe that the Patriots are the real deal.

Besides the fact that the Cardinals were essentially cooked after Kyler Murray tore his ACL three plays into the game, five of New England’s seven wins have come against teams below .500. The only two wins against contenders came in a season sweep of the Jets that had as much to do with horrendous play from Zach Wilson as any good effort from New England, which struggled to move the ball in both contests.

Week 15 brings another West Coast matchup as the Patriots head to Las Vegas to take on the 5-8 Raiders in a game that was flexed out of Sunday Night Football due to Las Vegas’ struggles. New England is a one-point favorite in this game but the Raiders have been playing better football of late, making this matchup far trickier than it would appear on the surface level.

Raiders’ head coach Josh McDaniels also figures to be highly motivated to beat his former employer and has the offensive firepower to overwhelm New England’s suspect offense. Don’t be shocked if Las Vegas steals this game in a contest that the Patriots desperately need.
