Aaron Rodgers rumors: Dream trade No. 4 to help the Packers – New Orleans Saints

Few teams in the NFL have been more frustrating to watch this season than the New Orleans Saints and a big reason for that has been the quarterback play. Anyone who has paid attention the NFL in recent years could’ve told the team they wouldn’t win many games if Andy Dalton was the starting quarterback for the majority of them, but here we are and that’s what’s transpired.

For whatever reason, head coach Dennis Allen and the team have no interest in giving Jameis Winston another shot. But that could work to their benefit if an oft-aggressive team in terms of trades were to go after Aaron Rodgers this offseason to maximize the rest of the roster.

After some draft-day trades, the Saints aren’t armed with a full arsenal of draft picks but they do have a first in 2024 and a second this year they could package with Winston and a mid-round pick to make this work.

With the investment the team has in the defense, the offensive line and even the skill positions, the Saints need to find stability at quarterback. Even if Rodgers never gets back to MVP form, he could help provide that while the Packers would get a bridge quarterback in Winston if Love isn’t ready and some nice draft capital for the next two seasons.
