Aaron Rodgers rumors: Dream trade No. 1 to help the Packers – Las Vegas Raiders

The last trade that the Raiders and Packers made worked out extremely well for the former, so why not try to run it back? Las Vegas has struggled mightily overall in the 2022 season in the first year under head coach Josh McDaniel, but it’d be hard to say they regret the Davante Adams trade. What it has highlighted, however, is that the silver and black might need to move on from Derek Carr.

So why not move on from Carr by giving the Packers a stopgap quarterback they could very well be interested in acquiring along with draft capital to help them fill out the rest of the roster while also reuniting Adams with Aaron Rodgers? That’d be a deal that would seemingly make both teams happy.

You could make the argument that the draft capital going to Green Bay might have to include a second first-round pick given the money they’d still be taking on from the three-year, $121 million deal that Carr signed with the Raiders, but the spirit is the same.

Las Vegas would get their star quarterback to hopefully make a leap while the Packers would get a bridge to Jordan Love and a bevy of picks to address needs on the roster like the future of the offensive line, wide receivers, and the numerous defensive holes.
