NBA rumors are heating up as the trade deadline gets closer and several struggling teams may be reconsidering who they trade and who they keep.

Chris Haynes of Bleacher Report rounded up the latest NBA rumors today, with a piece that touched on several surprising players who could be working their way onto the trade market as February draws closer, along with one other player who was presumed to be available but now may be staying put.

Here’s the latest on which players are trending one each direction.

4. NBA rumors: The Jazz might be keeping Jordan Clarkson

After trading Donovan Mitchell, Rudy Gobert and Bojan Bogdanovic over the offseason, it was presumed the Utah Jazz would continue cleaning house, trading veterans like Jordan Clarkson and Mike Conley during the season to acquire additional picks and fully lean into their reset.

But the team has been unexpectedly competitive, currently 18-16 and in the No. 8 spot in the Western Conference, and a bit of their calculus has changed. According to Haynes, the Jazz have begun talking about a contract extension that would keep the 30-year-old in Utah beyond the end of this season. Clarkson has averaged 20.1 points, 4.5 assists and 3.8 rebounds per game this season, on 43.6/35.0/82.0 shooting splits.
