CFB fans on Twitter had a field day trolling Dabo Swinney as Clemson missed three field goals in the first half of the Orange Bowl against Tennessee.
Clemson kicker B.T. Potter tied the Clemson record for career field goals in the Orange Bowl. It only took him four tries to do it.
As the Tigers tried to stay in the game against Tennessee, they struggled to put points on the board with the offense unable to get into the endzone and the kicker off the mark three times.
Clemson attempted a fake field goal on their first drive but failed to convert the first down. Their next three drives ended in missed field goals from 55, 49 and 42 yards out. Potter finally hit from 31 yards to give the Tigers their first points, trailing 14-3.
Twitter didn’t hold back from trolling the Tigers, from Swinney’s special teams decision-making to the missed kicks themselves.

Potter went into the game 18-of-21 kicking field goals this season. He matched his miss total on less than two quarters.
Cade Klubnik moved the ball in the first half. However, the inability of Clemson’s offense to break through for a touchdown was a bigger problem than the missed field goals. It looked like a continuation of their problems from throughout the season with D.J. Uiagalelei at the helm.
On the other side of things, Tennessee’s Joe Milton connected with Bru McCoy for a 16-yard touchdown to open the scoring. Later he found Squirrel White 50 yards down the field to set up another touchdown.
