The Rangers are in win-now mode while the Diamondbacks are going to need to wait at least one more season to be taken seriously by everyone. What about the Detroit Tigers? They made a valiant attempt at improving the roster last season only to fall flat on their faces. The biggest surprise team of all on this list, the Tigers have some good prospects, but also some MLB players Boston could target.

Viewing things from a Red Sox standpoint, they will probably want players who can contribute sooner than later. Many of the Tigers hitters have struggled at the MLB level.
